A/Fuel Dragster Upstart Megan Meyer Inks Two Year Deal with NGK Spark Plugs
Up-and-coming A/Fuel Dragster driver Megan Meyer had a couple of announcements at the 2017 Performance Racing Industry Show in Indy. Not only did she launch the Megan Meyer Racing brand, she announced that NGK had signed a deal as her primary sponsor for the next two seasons. The deal with NGK secures funding for Meyer to focus on improving upon her first two seasons behind the wheel, a task that is much easier when the team doesn’t have to worry about funding.
The Megan Meyer Racing brand features a bold “M” logo that will be immediately recognizable and should take no time for fans to associate with the talented young driver. This will prove invaluable in bolstering her presence and helping her stand out among a sea of other talented drivers. While she certainly has looks on her side, it takes very little time to realize Meyer is much more than a pretty face. Speaking with her at the PRI show following the announcement, she showed poise and professionalism far beyond her 24 years, traits that definitely helped NGK with their decision to align with her and the Randy Meyer Racing team for 2018 and 2019.
Megan’s record on the track speaks for itself, having found the winner’s circle twice in her first two seasons on the national level in a class many run for years without even reaching a final round. Meyer said at the show that the deal will allow her to pursue the national championship, an ambitious goal, but one that is certainly within reach for Megan and the Randy Meyer Racing team thanks to NGK Spark Plugs’ commitment to helping the team chase that dream.
Racers and vendors alike often wait for the annual Performance Racing Industry Show in Indianapolis to announce their plans for the upcoming season thanks to the show’s massive presence and significance to the automotive industry. Look for more big news coming from this camp in the very near future!
