DIY Pendulum Paint Job on a Rolls-Royce Goes Horribly Wrong
Normally, we know Supercar Blondie for her perspective on cars that she doesn’t own. We’ve watched and learned over the years as she has checked out some of the highest-end cars and concepts in the world. With some of the stuff featured on her channel, we had no idea that it even existed.
This time, though, we check out something that’s a little bit closer to home for Supercar Blondie. In this particular clip, she’s putting her own car into the mix. Pulled from her personal collection, this video puts a different spin on Blondie’s own personal Rolls-Royce, no pun intended.
These days, one means of artistic outlet that has gone rather viral is pendulum painting. Essentially, what happens is a source of paint is connected to the ceiling with a rope. When the paint is spun in a circle and drizzles out, it creates a design by making use of the pendulum. The result is a mesmerizing spiral that’s supposed to be somewhat symmetrical.
Most of the time, this sort of painting is done on some sort of inexpensive canvas. However, this time, the canvas is a little bit more expensive, to say the least. Drizzling bright green permanent paint on the Rolls-Royce definitely is an endeavor that takes a lot of confidence. At the end of the day, though, this is something that one would never know how it’s going to work out until they tried it.
When all was said and done, Supercar Blondie didn’t seem too happy with how it came out. We’re sure that if it doesn’t grow on her, she’ll have an innovative way to be able to remove the neon green paint from the surface of her high-end luxury machine.
Do you think that you would ever take on pendulum painting on your personal ride?
