Hop On Board And Watch Daddy Dave’s Rise To The #4 Spot.
Daddy Dave is on a mission to get back to the top spot on the 405’s Top 10 list, this time making the climb to #1 in his own Chevy II, known as Goliath. If Dave finds his way to the top, he will be the first to have held the crown as a both a hired driver and in their own car, and thanks the the ProCharged big block under Goliath’s hood, he’s certainly making progress toward his goal.
However, as we all know, the top of this list is a murderers row of badass street racers and their hotrods, so each race will be progressively harder to win. Dave is no stranger to the list and knows this all too well, so he was geared up for a gunfight when he came to the line to take on Monza for the #4 spot.
Monza, knowing Dave’s car is certainly capable of laying down a killer pass at any given time, came to the with his unbelievably gorgeous 2nd Gen Camaro loaded for bear. The nitrous-huffing big block was primed and ready when the guest flagger Chuck dropped back and hit the light. However, Dave managed to leave almost telepathically soon, jumping out to a lead by drilling the light and forcing Monza to try to play catch up.

Reeling in Dave’s Chevy II is no small task, and Monza’s Camaro just doesn’t have the top end charge it would take to do so, so Dave takes the win and moves up to the #4 spot. Keep an eye on Monza’s car, though, as he gets a little out of shape crossing the finish line and skids to a stop. Monza does a great job of keeping the car off the curb, which would have almost certainly bent a wheel or busted something in the suspension.
Can Daddy Dave continue his climb to the top spot? He has some pretty heavy hitters ahead of him in Murder Nova, Chuck in the Death Trap and new #1 Ryan in the Fireball Camaro. That won’t be an easy trio to outrun, but if anybody is up to the task, it’s Dave and Goliath.
