How to make a soldering iron out of a lighter
When you get creative, there are many ways around going to the store and buying a product that can tend to be pretty expensive. Whether the workarounds are worth your while or not is up for you to decide.
This time, using nothing more than a lighter, a piece of copper wire, and some popsicle sticks, we watch as this backyard engineer creates his very own soldering iron.
How effective this method could be and for how long remains debatable, but it does look like with just a couple of bucks, if that, the creator has put together something that could be used to solder simple wires.
It might not be the best long-term solution, but if you have a simple job to do that you’ll never have to do again, maybe something like this could come in handy.
We watch as the simple pieces all come together to make a complete finished product and solder is melted on a wire, just like you’d see out of a traditional iron.
Check out the video below and tell us if this is a method that you would ever use if you should so come up against such a dilemma.
