From Double Decker Bus to RV in 20 Simple Steps!

We love to see how DIY’ers out there take a notion to apply their spirit to something cool, like turning a retired double-decker bus into a badass luxury RV.

This guy picked up a used two-story bus and set out to transform it into a fully-featured recreational vehicle for his family. The first step, after buying the bus and planning out his approach, was to strip out the seats and railing used in the people mover’s former life. From here, it was all about building the RV of his dreams, one step at a time. Starting with a power grid to provide the comforts of home while on the road, the builder carefully assembled the interior, starting with the bigger pieces of the puzzle, then moving on to the minute details that really gave the project its personality and made it a perfect fit with his family.

The end result is a gorgeous home-on-the-road that has many personal touches that will truly make the family feel right at home as they travel the country in style and comfort.
