Kid remembers late father by racing against his ghost car in an old Xbox video game
If you aren’t in a crying mood, then we would recommend clicking away because this one is going to grab you right by the heart strings and firmly tug at each and every one of them!
If you’re a car enthusiast, then odds are that you can relate to this young man and his story with the memories of you and your dad wrenching away in the garage.
In this short film, we’re told a story of a boy who enjoyed a short time with his dad, but tragically, his father passed away when he was just six-years-old, leaving the boy to mourn and grow up without a father in his life.
He couldn’t have his dad with him, obviously but because he used to play on his original Xbox with his father, the system went untouched and collected dust as the youngester was unable to even look at it without being rightfully depressed about his dad and the memories that they shared.
One day, when he dug it back up, something amazing happened when he plugged that console back in and began to play again.
As you might know, some racing games save a ghost car as a best lap and that’s exactly what his dad left behind. When the now teen was able to have a good enough lap to beat the ghost, he couldn’t bring himself to finish and stopped right in front of the finish line and that was where he left it so that when he missed his dad, he could play a game with him whenever he’d like.
