Modified 2006 Dodge Ram SRT10 VIPER TRUCK!

There are lots of companies out there in the automotive landscape that seem to have given life to a variety of vehicles that seemed to be created in either a limited run or test run shortly before falling off of the face of the Earth. That isn’t to say that these things aren’t cool or don’t have some sort of appeal but, as it turns out, machines like the Dodge Ram SRT-10 Viper Truck just weren’t fit for mass consumption whether it be because of the niche market of performance trucks, the $50,000 base price in 2006, or a mix of both. However, it is cool to take a look back at some of these machines and the features that made them so special and unique.

This time, we check out one of these Viper truck mashups that really seemed to come from out of nowhere and seemed to depart just as quickly as they came. You don’t see these things too much anymore and with the rarity, it leads you to think that something like this 8.3L V10 monster might just become a collector’s item some day! You never know what the future has in store for a platform like this one.

The video below gives us an in-depth run in with one of these machines that’s hooked up with a couple of key bolt-on performance parts to really wake it up a little bit and make it a ton of fun to drive. The Viper truck might not be around in production any longer, nor is the actual viper, but that still doesn’t stop us from taking a journey back a decade or so to check out one of these rides, up close and personal.
