Molten Metal Squirtgun? This Should NOT Be Tried at Home!

When these YouTube experimenters really get down to it, they’re able to come up with some really loopy stuff that’s tons of fun to check out, especially from this side of the screen where nothing can go wrong and there’s no chance for molten metal to spray out of place and catch us in the eye. With that said, I think that you can kind of see where we’re going with this one as the concept of the water gun is pushed to the absolute limit in a display that we most certainly would not recommend trying from home. How he even came up with this idea in the first place is beyond us but still totally cool to watch!

At first, the man that goes by “The Backyard Scientist” explains to us how he was able to design such a gun and how the series of parts that he’s managed to put together is able to push out molten metal to shoot at whatever the desired target is. This time, that target just so happens to start out as a sheet of glass and progress to a watermelon and even a fish tank full of water! Each display definitely had us curious about what would happen once the liquid metal protruded from the homemade gun and made its way toward the target of choice.
