Racer Terry Barkely in a high speed pro mod crash at PSCA St. Louis
There are times in racing when you just have to put aside all of the competitiveness that the sport offers and we love to get wrapped up in and be concerned for your fellow human being.
In this situation, we ride along with Urban Hillbilly Action Videos as the Pro Mod semi-finals unfold at “Anarchy at the Arch” and we come face-to-face with the situation that is surreally scary.
On this pass, California racer, Terry Barkely was wheeling his Chevrolet Camaro Pro Mod down the track, when all of a sudden he would lose control and not be able to get it back.
The car would plow straight into the wall, omitting a gigantic ball of fire that immediately made our stomachs drop all the way to the floor.
Thankfully, with the proper safety equipment and a well-built car, Terry ended up being alright after shaking off the hit and being left to observe the insane carnage.
We wish him all the best in getting that car back together because, even though he was able to maintain his health, the most important part, we know that an incident like this can surely be jarring and a major setback, to say the least.
