Shooting a 20MM Bullet Through A Lamborghini Huracan
So I’m gonna play spoiler a bit and go ahead and tell you, as you can probably tell from the second image below, this massive 20mm round does not go through the body of a beloved supercar. However, don’t let that take away any of the thrill or tension went into making this shot. YouTuber Edwin Sarkissian had fellow YTer and gun expert Mark Serbu bring out a ridiculous 20mm rifle so that Edwin could fire a round through the open windows of his Lamborghini Huracan and obliterate the target on the other side of the car.
Edwin is clearly anxious about pulling off the shot through the Lambo, hesitating and even pointing out how hard his heart is beating as the moment approaches. He sits down to take the shot once, only to back out and have to walk a few paces to calm himself. Serbu nudges him along by taking the initiative and clicking off the safety, so that all Sarkissian has to do is sit down and pull the trigger, which he is finally able to do after an extended countdown.
With the slightest pull of his finger, Edwin let loose the massive round, nearly an inch in diameter, at several thousand feet per second, right through the windows of his Huracan, which suddenly had to seem incredibly small knowing the implications of missing by the slightest margin. However, the sights on the gun proved true and instead of blasting a hole through his ride, Sarkissian sent chunks of watermelon splattering across the desert in all directions. The slow motion replays give us a great look at the massive shockwave caused by the firing of the monster round. To say there’s a tremendous amount of energy released would be an understatement, as evidenced by the movement of the dust.
