Testing out A MIRROR In a Can? | Mirror Spray Paint
So this is a thing, and it’s actually really cool! Rust-Oleum has a product called Mirror Effect, and it’s exactly what it sounds like it would be based on the name. However, with many products like that, that offer something cool and easy, they usually aren’t all that effective. Rust-Oleum’s Mirror Effect, however, seems to be the real deal, and there are limitless possibilities with this stuff.
Starting with nothing more than a regular sheet of glass, Mirror Effect transforms the pane into a perfectly reflective mirror.
The reviewer used masking tape to mask off sections of the glass, and that is where the creative types out there are likely already leaping into action, seeing all types of unique possibilities that come from masking off sections of glass to create custom mirrors with intricate designs between the reflective and transparent sections.
As far as making a typical mirror, the process is as simple as spraying a few layers of the product onto the back of a pane of glass. However, it’s going to be a lot more fun have some kind of design in place like you see at the end of the video. Using tape or even custom cut vinyl masks to lay out the design, then spraying the mirror over them will leave you with a truly custom mirror when the masks are removed. Then you can create some artwork that’s truly reflective of your creativity!
We know our fans are some of the coolest and most creative folks in the world, so we want to see you guys and gals go to work designing some cool custom mirrors that reflect who you are and what you love.
