The 707 HP 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk Prototype Spied Towing in the Wild?
Over the past couple of years, Mopar has made a lot of noise with their releases. Most notably, the Charger and Challenger Hellcat came onto the scene, stirring up the pot with the 707 hp in a supercharged application that would have enthusiasts going nuts and more recently, the Dodge Demon would completely flip social media upside down, making everyone talk about the car that might just be a little bit too fast for the NHRA to approve of on a drag strip.
However, there is one more vehicle that Fiat Chrysler has been working on that has created quite the stir but has managed to slide under the radar just a little bit because of the giant shadow cast by these other models as they have taken the media by storm.
That vehicle, of course, would be the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, a variant of the Hellcat platform that resides under the hood of a Jeep, adding yet another layer of awesome on top of the already stout SRT8 Jeep, giving it that well-respected 707 hp figure that goes along with the rest of the Hellcat lineup.
Now, The Fast Lane Car happened to be out fishing for test vehicles and stumbled upon what they believe to be a Trackhawk in the wild, doing a little bit of testing as it pulled along a Jeep Cherokee on a trailer. However, with the setup moving the opposite way on the highway, they didn’t see how they would be able to get back on the highway in time to catch up with it. With a lucky turn of fate, however, they would later catch it in traffic, crossing an intersection directly in front of them. Talk about luck!
The video below will show you the adventure that went into tracking this thing down and getting an up close look at the latest out of the Mopar wheelhouse. Be sure to check it out and tell us what you think of this spotting out on public roads of a Jeep that, when it comes out, will be the king of all Jeeps for sure.
