The Most Ridiculous, Obnoxious and Badass Dodge Charger We Have Ever Seen
It’s not often you see a car that is this over the top! This 1969 Dodge Charger, which builder Steve Darnell has named Nightmare, is as insane as any build we’ve ever seen!
Fromt the raw metal body, covered with rivets and bare welds, to the fully-custom chassis and suspension – built by Darnell at his Welder Up shop – this massive amalgam just screams “Mad Max Hero Car”, as is mentioned in the video. Under the hood, or where the hood should be, resides a straight up nasty Cummins diesel engine, topped off by twin superchargers AND twin turbos! Just listen to this snarling beast of a powerplant when Darnell fires it up to ease around the parking lot. While the engine needs some tweaking, and perhaps a smaller pair of turbochargers, the car is nothing short of ridiculous!
Check out the rock-crawler suspension flex pose at the end! The Nightmare Charger is indeed the stuff bad dreams are made of!
