1500HP 4cyl S2000 BLOWS ROOF OFF at 190MPH!
If the quarter mile is the topic of discussion, there are definitely different levels to being able to tackle the race track out there as people of all different skill levels try their luck to get through to the end of the track the quickest that they possibly can, pounding home their best time as they take a crack at topping their personal best and sometimes, even different records that lurk in various circles. For most people who make their way down the drag strip, though, the day that the 190 mph barrier is reached might never come. However, the man behind the wheel of this Honda S2000 not only reached that plateau but also managed to scare the life out of himself in the process.
The scene of action in this one is none other than Orlando Speed World down in Florida as we tune in to see exactly what’s happening as this monstrous 1500 hp four-cylinder bullies its way down the track to an impressive pass. However, what was waiting for the driver the end of the pass, when he pulled out his parachute to slow down at such high speeds, I don’t think that anybody could have predicted. It certainly was one for the memory bank, that’s for sure.
In the That Racing Channel video down below, you’ll be able to chase this action to the scene as this driver goes for quite the ride when he gets to the end of the track and discovers that his roof wants to go for a spin all of its own. I’m not sure about you but if that happened to me at 190 mph, it would take quite some time to be able to come back from that. This is certainly something that could stir up more than its fair share of adrenaline in anyone with a pulse.
