3 No Prep Wheelies at Redemption 6.0 That Will Make You Look Twice
Redemption 6.0 may have been a no-prep event, but that doesn’t mean there was a shortage of traction for some of the cars on the property. These cars have their chassis setup just right to plant the rear tire, perhaps a little too well!
The first clip, we see a gorgeous red fox body hatch reaching for the sky before dropping back to earth past the 60′ cone in a shower of sparks. The driver actually caught the nose coming down and tried to stay in the throttle, but the wheel stand unloaded the chassis and caused the car to spin. Next up, another Ford Mustang, this time of the coupe variety, launches with the wheels way in the air and planting the rear bumper, which causes the car to twist a bit and slam back to the asphalt. Finally, the fan-favorite Wheelie Wagon, known for it’s huge wheel stands, actually pushes a bit too far and drags the bumper as well, also upsetting the balance and causing the car to unload on one side and drop back to earth hard, throwing sparks upon impact.
So as you can see, some cars don’t need the track to be prepped, they provide their own traction through a great suspension setup and power management!
