Driver’s Hood Destroys Windshield, He Still Finishes The Race!

Driver's Hood Destroys Windshield, He Still Finishes The Race!

Sometimes, when a driver really has momentum behind them, they don’t want to give it up. Now, some drivers will go through further lengths than others to keep this momentum but we wouldn’t be surprised at just about anything that we see circulating the web. After all, the internet has brought us some of the craziest unbelievable videos that would be hard to believe without seeing. Therefore, we’re almost never shocked at what comes next. With that said, this one really caught us a little bit off guard. This driver simply had that will to win.

For those of us who have ever been down the drag strip, we’re familiar with that feeling of thinking that we have our best pass after a good launch. Right off the line, something great can feel like it’s all about the come together. Now, on the other end, maybe the timeslip won’t reflect that but sometimes, everything lines up just right. In this one, we were inclined to think that the driver behind the wheel here had either that feeling or some sort of money on the line. Even with what many would consider being mass chaos, he kept it moving forward.

By following along with the video below, we actually catch up with quite a crazy situation. As this driver is ripping through the gears in what looks to be a Honda Civic, eventually, his hood latch is no longer willing to play the game. It’s actually pretty startling as the hood flies up and ends up destroying the windshield. However, the driver just keeps on rowing those gears. Peeking through a small opening between the hood and the engine bay, he manages to finish off the pass. I’m not sure if this is more courageous or stupid but we have to say that this is probably the first of an instance like this we’ve come across.
