Duramax Fitted with Custom Skis to Dominate the Snow

The world of automotive customization is so far and wide that we all are able to have a very unique version of what the ideal truck may be for us. For some, the ideal truck might be lowered on a big set of wheels and for others, maybe it’s jacked up with a set of mud tires on it. This time, we get to check out yet another version of an ideal truck that not too many people would be able to really say they could identify with. Instead of any tires at all, on the front, we see something completely different that’s designed to handle the snow in a way unlike too many trucks we’ve seen before.

Whether or not the setup here is going to be able to execute on its goal is a whole different question entirely. However, we find that it’s a lot of fun to watch it try. Now, the whole point of the YouTube channel that we see here by the name of WhistlinDiesel, seems to be to take this Duramax and put it through a whole gamut of different transformations, bringing about the most obscure possible combinations. As we can see, it still has the massive tractor tires on the back. However, we think that the owner might be onto a little bit of something here that speaks in a little bit more functional direction.

By following along with the video below, we’re able to watch the Duramax as it’s put to the test with its custom skis. Whether or not the skis are more for fun or will ever find any sort of functional purpose remains to be seen. However, we have to admit that it’s a ton of fun to watch this custom machine plow its way straight through the wintry wonderland.
