REV BATTLE – $1,900,000 Centenario vs Procharged GT350R
Lamborghini’s Centenario is among the rarest hypercars ever built, with only 20 coupes and 20 convertibles built to celebrate the 100th birthday of the automaker’s founder, Ferruccio Lamborghini. Cranking out 770 horsepower and constructed of carbon fiber inside and out, the Centenario will set you back a cool $1.9 million bucks, if you happen to find yourself among those selected to purchase one of the extremely limited-editions.
With the Centenario being such a rarity, the chance you’ll run across one in the wild is insanely low, and the chances of finding an one with an owner that would be willing to jump into a Rev Battle has to be about the same as being struck by lightning while holding the winning Powerball ticket, but there is at least one here in the states and the owner was willing to throw some revs back and forth with a fellow enthusiast with a ProCharged Mustang GT350R at a recent charity event.
CF (we’re assuming that’s cystic fibrosis but if we’re wrong, please let us know and we’ll correct the information) Charities Supercar Weekend brought out an amazing lineup of truly badass cars to help raise money for the cause. Among them, the Centenario and the GT350R, which is certainly a rare ride in its own rights, as well as a 599XX LaFerrari and few McLaren P1’s joined an incredibly badass lineup of exotics super- and hypercars.
The main attraction of the video below is the Rev Battle, and despite the ultimate badassness of Lambo and its exclusivity, I think the Mustang has a better exhaust note. Of course, that’s not factory Ford exhaust, as the GT350R has been fitted with a full length Kooks exhaust and the powerplant is being force-fed by a ProCharger, so it sounds markedly better than a stock version. We have to give props to all of the car owners that selflessly brought their rides out to help raise money at the CF Charities Supercar Weekend.
