Steve-O is Living in a Car in Las Vegas (Hanging 120 Feet in the Air From a Crane!)
When legendary stuntman, Steve-O, has something that he’s looking to promote, he has been known to do some pretty crazy stunts to get it done. In fact, not long ago, one of those stunts involved the legend taping himself to a billboard to attract as much attention as possible to get the word out about his comedy special, “Gnarly.”
This time around, he’s in Las Vegas and doing a very own unique promotion yet again. This time, the idea is to live out of his Tesla Model Y. Not a big deal, right?
Well, the little tidbit that we might’ve left out is the fact that the vehicle will be suspended from a crane some at 120 feet in the air. Even for a legendary madman like this, who doesn’t seem to be afraid of anything, hanging all of those feet above the ground seems to be a little bit daunting. However, in order to help raise money for Habitat for Humanity, Las Vegas, he’s more than willing to pull the stunt.
Steve says that when he was thinking about all of the crazy places in Las Vegas where he could live in his car, lots of iconic locations came to mind. He thought about parking it on the 50-yard line at the Raiders’ stadium or up at the world-renowned Bellagio fountains, however, he felt like he would be kicked out of all of these areas. Building a custom contraption to lift the electric car into the sky was the option that he ended up landing on.
In the video below, we get to ride along for the action as we’re shown exactly what life that far above the ground looks like in such a confined space. Steve-O also provides a little bit of commentary, talking about how terrifying it was during every aspect from being risen up to sleeping… Or lack thereof.
