Daddy Dave Wins NPK People’s Captain, Team DDR Seizes Ohio Victory, (All NPK Teams Revealed)
Over the weekend, the highly anticipated No Prep Kings season 6 kicked off in Hebron, Ohio, marking the premier event in the world of drag racing. This season brings an exciting twist with a team format, unlike any previous seasons. The NPK organization handpicked seven captains, and the eighth and final captain, Daddy Dave, earned his spot through a fan vote.
The kickoff event not only gave fans their first taste of NPK racing for the season but also treated them to an exhilarating draft, where all eight captains picked their four favorite competitors, revealing the teams that will compete for ultimate glory. The complete list of teams can be found below. With the draft concluded, the action was set to unfold.
Competitors at National Trail Raceway showcased their dedication and hard work during the off-season, leaving no stone unturned in their quest for an early advantage. Each competitor and their respective teams aim to secure an early lead to avoid playing catch-up when the season concludes in October.
Among the impressive contenders, Kayla Morton, Dave’s first overall draft pick, emerged as a shining star. With her exceptional performance, Morton powered through the competition and earned a spot in the final round.
In the finals, Morton faced off against Scott Taylor, who was the top pick by Mike Murillo. Taylor secured his place in the finals by defeating the perennial favorite and three-time No Prep Kings champion, Ryan Martin. However, Taylor’s efforts fell short against Morton, who advanced to the finals after receiving a bye.
This is just the beginning of the thrilling NPK season as the competition now moves to Petersburg, VA, Brainerd, MN, Bowling Green, KY, and Epping, NH, completing the action-packed first month of racing.
