POV Photography on set of Street Outlaws Ep4 “Blacktop Blues”
When it comes to putting together an episode of Street Outlaws, there are a ton of moving pieces to make the production as grand as it is. From the racers and their crews to the cameras capturing all of the magic, there’s a lot happening on the starting line.
One of those pieces just so happens to be Lou Renova aka 405 Photo. Renova always seems to be in the thick of things, doing his best to capture the action in a way as nobody else does. The thing about good photographers is that they each seem to have their signature style that brings viewers the action with its own special twist.
This time, we get to check out how 405 Photo operates. You might’ve seen the photos from the starting line but this video shows off how exactly those photos have been captured as Lou has a GoPro camera mounted to his still camera to give us a new perspective on the action.
Not only do we get to see the starting line of an episode of Street Outlaws in an entirely new light. We also get to see a fraction of just how much work goes into the beautiful finished product that we eventually see published.
Below, we ride along with the best seat in the house, not only checking out how these awesome pics are generated but also getting a true, uncut taste of what exactly it feels like to be in the thick of the action when all of that horsepower is getting ready to roll. Sure, the finished product that we get to see on TV is entertaining but a perspective like this almost makes us feel as if we’re able to sit street-side and watch as these incredible machines flex their muscles in a bit of competition.
